It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and once went over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if not afforded the possibility.

That loss "drove us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy commented earlier.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not come up short.

If this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Some will argue the case for the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this innings followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it was a frustrating experience because it seemed my form was missing at all," stated Healy.

"But once you take the field, your fighting spirit kick in and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitiveness has continuously been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was in motion.

"An opportunity to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was out Australia required another 66 at one run per ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I'm pleased we have the assurance to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a last-four spot may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she afterwards commented she wished she had played despite the injury.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have postponed plans to retire, this championship is expected to be her last as captain in 50-over cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as skipper.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
